Beijing, China & Berlin, Germany – CSGCT(Chinese Society of Gene and Cell Therapy)and Clincase, a Germany-based provider of eClinical software solutions, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation to support the global advancement of cell and gene therapy (CGT) development across China, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The partnership combines CSGCT's extensive network of leading Chinese CGT investigators, hospitals, research institutions, and industry stakeholders with Clincase's expertise in clinical trial technology, regulatory-compliant data management, and international clinical development. Together, the organizations aim to facilitate cross-border collaboration and accelerate the translation of innovative CGT programs into clinical practice.
China has emerged as one of the world's most dynamic environments for cell and gene therapy innovation, driven by a growing ecosystem of investigator-initiated trials (IITs), world-class clinical institutions, and increasing investment in advanced therapies. Through this partnership, CSGCT and Clincase will work to create new pathways for international biotechnology companies, investors, and research organizations seeking to engage with China's CGT ecosystem.
Key areas of collaboration include:
- Supporting international CGT innovators seeking clinical development opportunities in China
- Facilitating connections between overseas sponsors and leading Chinese principal investigators, hospitals, CROs, CDMOs, and clinical research partners
- Promoting high-quality clinical research supported by internationally recognized standards for data integrity, compliance, and trial management
- Connecting Chinese CGT companies with global investors, pharmaceutical companies, and strategic partners
- Organizing international conferences, scientific forums, educational programs, and industry delegation visits
- Sharing industry insights, regulatory intelligence, and strategic resources to strengthen cross-border collaboration
As part of the collaboration, Clincase will serve as a Global Strategic Cooperation Partner of CSGCT and will participate in the 2026 CSGCT Annual Meeting, to be held on September 19–20, 2026, in Beijing. The conference is expected to bring together thousands of researchers, clinicians, investors, regulators, and industry leaders from around the world to discuss the future of cell and gene therapy.
"China's cell and gene therapy ecosystem is evolving at remarkable speed and is becoming increasingly important to global innovation," said Wu Xuetao, Deputy Secretary General of CSGCT. "Through our collaboration with Clincase, we aim to strengthen international cooperation and help innovative therapies move more efficiently from research to clinical application."
Judy Lux, Co-Founder and COO of Clincase GmbH, commented: "The future of advanced therapies will be built through global collaboration. By combining CSGCT's deep connections within China's CGT ecosystem with Clincase's expertise in clinical technology and international regulatory environments, we hope to create practical pathways that help innovators navigate cross-border clinical development and bring new therapies to patients faster."
The agreement takes effect immediately and will remain in force through June 2027, with the option for renewal upon mutual agreement.
